The problem is, if that man did not want help, no one could force him to take it. Not even state authorities can remove someone from a situation of filth, poverty and hazard as long as that person is of age and is competent to make their own decisions. I can totally relate. I think...You Rock Adrienne!!! I can totally relate. I think I have an unhealthy relationship with food as well. A friend recently called it food masturbation. I know that's a little risque, but its true. So don't feel alone, but feel normal in your struggle, and abnormal because you are actually doing something about it beyond just dieting and redieting, but you're digging up the roots and getting whole.
